About us

Surya Autism Collective is a family-run practice led by Keely and Suresh Soundararajan. We created the Collective from our shared commitment to supporting non-speaking autistic learners with dignity, creativity, and care. Together, we off holistic services that center communication, learning, movement, and expression - always grounded in presumed competence and tailored to each individual.

With combined experience in education, communication partnering, fitness, and the arts, we work side by side to support learners of all communication styles, motor profiles, and support needs.

About Keely

I’m a communication partner, academic, and artist passionate about making education accessible, respectful, and engaging for all autistic learners. I’ve been supporting neurodiverse students since I first volunteered as a tutor in high school, and that early experience sparked a lifelong commitment to inclusive learning

For the past three years, I’ve worked full-time as a college CP for a non-speaking student studying Cognitive Science at a University in the Bay Area. Together, we’ve focused on college level academics, developing fine motor skills, navigating classroom environments, building social connections, academic writing, participating in an internship, and giving public presentations.

At the heart of my work is the belief that trust, mutual respect, and real connection are essential to meaningful communication support. While most of my experience has been with one Speller, my next goal is to expand my practice by supporting learners at a variety of starting points, including those who are new to the letterboard.

About Suresh

After a long career in IT and web development, I discovered my true passion: working with neurodivergent individuals, especially those on the autism spectrum who are minimal or non-speaking. As a Neurodivergent Fitness and Creative Coach, I draw on a lifetime of fitness experience, including CrossFit, marathon running, Muay Thai, boxing, and weightlifting. I create training programs that focus on practical strength and mobility for everyday life.

I believe that every person is unique, with their own interests and strengths. My coaching approach is highly individualized. I build on what each client enjoys and excels at, expanding those abilities in a supportive and adaptive environment. Establishing trust and a genuine connection is at the heart of my work. I want my clients to feel comfortable with my energy and know they are in a safe, welcoming space.

Whether we are working on functional fitness, developing a new skill, or simply going for a hike or bike ride, my goal is to help my clients grow stronger, build confidence, and have fun. I want every session to feel like time spent with a friend.

Beyond fitness, I love exploring creativity with my clients through activities like experimenting with electronic music using hardware drum machines, samplers, and synthesizers, or painting in an abstract expressionist style. These creative outlets are powerful ways to express emotions, foster self-discovery, and enjoy the moment together.

If you are looking for a coach who truly understands and celebrates neurodiversity, and who can help you thrive both physically and creatively, I would love to connect with you.
